What do Flying Dreams Symbolize?

I always have dreams where I'm flying. It actually makes me feel kinda invincible! What do these dreams mean.......and why can't I fly when I wake up! :-)

I see dead people…….

My deceased relatives occassionally appear to me in my dreams. They appear really, really REAL! Am I dreaming....or is it possible they are truly able to visit me while I'm sleeping?

Where do dreams come from?

Do dreams come from fear? Or are they just random blips of the brain during deep sleep? What do you think?

I think this is much more common than you think….and could simply be a sign of your underlying insecurity about yourself – and your relationship with your husband. The younger woman could simply be an archetype – or almost a “cliche” that triggers those insecurities…..and those fears, as certainly, that is a fear that many women are conditioned to have. (unfortunately due to what we see too often in real life, and in the media as well)

I would talk to your husband about your dream……or, simply do small things to re-connect yourself to the security you deserve to feel in your marriage.

I think dreams that have violence, and that include people you know well and love, should be shared with a counselor, or professional in your local area…..just to make sure that you are not stifling anger and violence that could manifest in waking life.

If it troubles you…..and you feel like you are unsure as to it’s symbolic meaning, in my own life, I like to speak to someone I can trust to work out whatever it is that needs to be worked through. (which in your case, is probably a good idea as well, just to be on the safe side!)

It could be wishful dreaming, too..;-) (but it may be that your slumbering, subconcious mind knows something about your romantic destiny that your waking mind is NOT acting on….I’m a big believer in following your dreams!

Do you have a fear of flying? Have you ever had a bad experience on a plane…..or maybe have a loved one or someone you care a lot about who travels by air often? I’ve had similar dreams….and believe it or not, they are relatively common EVEN in people who don’t fly too often.

Hi Zaza – sorry about your loss…..yours is a VERY common experience, and lots of people would interpret your precognitive dreams as a sign that maybe your fiance’s death was something that was “fated” to happen. His appearance in your dreams now….could be either wishful thinking on your part….or depending on what you believe, maybe a sign that he’s trying to tell you he’s okay, where he is. (and maybe can’t yet get that across in your visitations)

Believe it or not – this is very common, I’ve read lots of good books that cover both precognitive dreams and what are called ADC’s (after death communications) and even super skeptics admit they can be very healing if you let them!
